01 Who We Are

PerkBook is operated out of Minnesota, United States. When this policy says "PerkBook," "we," "us," or "our," it means PerkBook.

PerkBook is a credit card benefits tracking application that helps users understand and maximize the perks included with their credit cards. Users enter their card information manually — PerkBook does not connect to any bank or financial institution.

02 Information We Collect

Information you give us directly:

• Account information — if you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive a user identifier and, where you permit it, your email address from that provider. This is used solely to authenticate you and sync your app data across devices.
• Card information you enter in the app — card nicknames, card type, and benefit usage you log. This is stored on your device and, if you sign in, in your encrypted cloud account via Supabase. We do not collect full card numbers, CVV codes, bank account numbers, PINs, or transaction history.

Information collected automatically:

• Device information — device type, operating system version, and app version, used for diagnosing technical issues. This data does not include your name, email, or card details.

03 How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To provide cloud sync — if you create an account, your app data is synced to our cloud database (Supabase) so you can access it across your devices.
• To authenticate you — we use the identifier provided by Apple or Google to verify your identity when you sign in.
• To improve the app — anonymized usage information helps us understand which features are useful and where the app can be improved.
• To diagnose and fix problems — device and error information helps us identify and resolve technical issues.
• To comply with legal obligations — we may process or retain data as required by applicable law.

We do not use your data for automated profiling, targeted advertising, or any purpose beyond those listed above.

04 How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

• Supabase — if you create an account, your card and benefit data is stored on Supabase's servers (hosted in the United States). Supabase's use of your data is governed by the Supabase Privacy Policy. Data in transit is encrypted via TLS; data at rest is encrypted by Supabase.
• Apple / Google — when you sign in with Apple or Google, those providers authenticate you and share a user identifier (and optionally your email address) with PerkBook. Their use of your data is governed by the Apple Privacy Policy and Google Privacy Policy respectively.
• Formspree — our waitlist form is powered by Formspree, Inc. When you submit your email address, it is transmitted to and stored on Formspree's servers. Formspree's use of your data is governed by the Formspree Privacy Policy.
• Affiliate partners — if you click a credit card link on our website, the card issuer or affiliate network may receive information that you clicked a link from PerkBook. We do not share your name or email with affiliate partners. See our Affiliate Disclosure for full details.
• Legal requirements — we may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of PerkBook, its users, or the public.
• Business transfer — if PerkBook is acquired or merged with another business, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information is subject to a different privacy policy.

05 Third-Party Services

PerkBook uses Supabase to store cloud account data for users who sign in. Supabase is operated by Supabase, Inc. and is hosted in the United States. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Their privacy policy is available at supabase.com/privacy.

PerkBook uses Formspree to process waitlist form submissions. When you enter your email address and submit the form, that data is sent directly to Formspree's servers. Formspree is operated by Formspree, Inc. and their privacy policy is available at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.

When you sign in with Apple or Google, those providers share authentication information (a user identifier and, optionally, an email address) with PerkBook. PerkBook does not share your app data with Apple or Google. Their respective privacy policies govern how they handle your information on their end.

06 Data Retention

Waitlist email addresses are retained until: (a) you request deletion, (b) you unsubscribe from all communications, or (c) PerkBook is discontinued. We do not retain waitlist data longer than necessary for its stated purpose.

In-app data (card nicknames, benefit logs) is stored on your device. Deleting the app removes locally stored data.

Account and cloud data — if you create an account, your app data is retained in the cloud until you delete your account. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account in the app, which immediately and permanently removes your account and all associated cloud data. Locally stored data on your device is not affected by account deletion and can be removed separately by deleting the app.

07 Your Rights & Choices

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access — you may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Correction — you may ask us to correct inaccurate information.
• Deletion — you may request that we delete your personal information at any time. If you have a PerkBook account, you can permanently delete it and all associated cloud data directly from Settings → Delete Account in the app. To remove your waitlist email, contact us at support@myperkbook.com or use the unsubscribe link in any email we send you.
• In-app account deletion — in compliance with Apple App Store requirements, you can delete your account and cloud data entirely from within the app at any time, without needing to contact us.
• Opt-out of communications — every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You may also email us directly to be removed.

We will respond to all requests within 30 days. We may ask you to verify your identity before processing a request.

08 Children's Privacy

PerkBook is intended for adults who hold credit cards and is not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a person under 18, we will delete that information promptly.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has used PerkBook or provided us with their information, please contact us at support@myperkbook.com and we will remove it.

09 Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These include: encrypting data in transit via TLS, storing cloud account data with Supabase which encrypts data at rest, using Row-Level Security so each user can only access their own data, and limiting the amount of personal data we collect in the first place.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security. If you have reason to believe your information has been compromised, please contact us immediately at support@myperkbook.com.

10 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If the changes are material, we will notify waitlist subscribers by email before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of PerkBook after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
