01 Who We Are

PerkBook is operated out of Minnesota, United States. When this policy says "PerkBook," "we," "us," or "our," it means PerkBook.

PerkBook is a credit card benefits tracking application that helps users understand and maximize the perks included with their credit cards. Users enter their card information manually — PerkBook does not connect to any bank or financial institution.

02 Information We Collect

Information you give us directly:

• Email address — when you join our waitlist on the PerkBook website. This is the only personally identifiable information we request at this stage.
• Card information you enter in the app — card nicknames, card type, and benefit usage you log. This information is stored on your device and/or in your personal app account. We do not collect full card numbers, CVV codes, bank account numbers, PINs, or transaction history.

Information collected automatically:

• Usage data — via Firebase Analytics (see Section 5), we collect anonymized information about how the app is used: screens visited, features tapped, session length, and crash reports. This data does not include your name, email, or card details.
• Device information — device type, operating system version, and app version, collected automatically by Firebase for crash diagnostics.

03 How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To operate the waitlist — your email address is used to notify you when PerkBook launches and to send you early access information. We will not send unrelated marketing emails without your separate consent.
• To improve the app — anonymized usage analytics help us understand which features are useful and where the app can be improved.
• To diagnose and fix problems — crash reports help us identify and resolve technical issues.
• To comply with legal obligations — we may process or retain data as required by applicable law.

We do not use your data for automated profiling, targeted advertising, or any purpose beyond those listed above.

04 How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

• Formspree — our waitlist form is powered by Formspree, Inc. When you submit your email address, it is transmitted to and stored on Formspree's servers. Formspree's use of your data is governed by the Formspree Privacy Policy.
• Firebase (Google) — anonymized usage and crash data is processed by Firebase, a Google service. See Section 5 for more detail.
• Affiliate partners — if you click a credit card link on our website, the card issuer or affiliate network may receive information that you clicked a link from PerkBook. We do not share your name or email with affiliate partners. See our Affiliate Disclosure for full details.
• Legal requirements — we may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of PerkBook, its users, or the public.
• Business transfer — if PerkBook is acquired or merged with another business, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information is subject to a different privacy policy.

05 Analytics & Third-Party Services

PerkBook uses Formspree to process waitlist form submissions. When you enter your email address and submit the form, that data is sent directly to Formspree's servers. Formspree is operated by Formspree, Inc. and their privacy policy is available at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.

PerkBook uses Firebase, a platform provided by Google LLC, for analytics and crash reporting. Firebase collects anonymized usage data and device information as described in Section 2. Firebase may transfer data to Google's servers in the United States.

Google's use of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. You can learn more about how Firebase handles data at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.

We have configured Firebase to minimize data collection. Analytics data is anonymized and is not linked back to your email address or any other personal identifier.

06 Data Retention

Waitlist email addresses are retained until: (a) you request deletion, (b) you unsubscribe from all communications, or (c) PerkBook is discontinued. We do not retain waitlist data longer than necessary for its stated purpose.

Firebase analytics data is retained for up to 14 months per Firebase's default settings, after which it is automatically deleted.

In-app data (card nicknames, benefit logs) is stored on your device and/or in your app account. Deleting the app removes locally stored data. If we introduce cloud sync in a future version, we will update this policy accordingly.

07 Your Rights & Choices

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access — you may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Correction — you may ask us to correct inaccurate information.
• Deletion — you may request that we delete your email address from our waitlist at any time. To do so, email us at support@myperkbook.com or use the unsubscribe link in any email we send you.
• Opt-out of communications — every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You may also email us directly to be removed.

We will respond to all requests within 30 days. We may ask you to verify your identity before processing a request.

08 Children's Privacy

PerkBook is not directed at children under the age of 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The waitlist and app are intended for general audiences, but if we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete that information promptly.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has provided us with their email address, please contact us at support@myperkbook.com and we will remove it.

09 Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These include using reputable third-party services with their own security programs and limiting the amount of personal data we collect in the first place.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security. If you have reason to believe your information has been compromised, please contact us immediately at support@myperkbook.com.

10 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If the changes are material, we will notify waitlist subscribers by email before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of PerkBook after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
